For a little over a week now, I have been trusted on to take care of three cats and a number of fish while friends of mine road trip out to Eastern Canada. Newfoundland to be exact, with of course some stops along the way.

For my first few visits, the cats seemed a little tentative towards me, running away whenever I went up to pat them. However, after they got fimilar with seeing me come over on a regular basis, they seem to be more at ease while I'm there. Often standing on me while watching TV and the occassional lying on my stomach and falling asleep :) Seeing that the cats really appreciate the human interaction, I have been over there quite a bit and enjoy going over and spending some time with them (sorry guys, I may be spoiling them a little) :)

From what I've heard, my friends are having a great time out east, and I hope the good times continue! Looking forward to seeing the pics and hearing all about the trip! Drive safe and have fun!

Well, it's off to the Streetcar party tonight for a friend's stag...Should be fun! Congrats Chris! We'll try to take it easy on you tonight...Not! :)

And A'Camping We Went!

Last weekend Bren and I took to the Ontario Parks world and camped it up! It was fun and I was able to use my new and improved tent :) After pitching it, I deemed it the Mack Truck of tents! It was huge with two rooms easily fitting a double air mattress in each. A big step up from the small tent of past.

But I must say, the event that got our hearts racing happened on the drive home...Some idiot driver, who probably mastered the art of driving dangerously from one of the many car video games out there...Took to the streets and was speeding, passing cars illegally and ultimately in the end....Took him and his two friends for a spin in the air after loosing control. A roll-over which happened about 3-5 cars in front of us! Needless to say, this guy just moments before passed me and the car beside me on the dotted line. Luckily, it looked like no-one was seriously injured and also lucky he didn't take other innocent motorists with him.

Well, that's all I got for 'ya today...Keep checking, I'll post a pic of my new tent shortly :)

After a crazy long weekend on the road, visiting 7 cottages on 5 lakes and 1 river, I can honestly say...I'm spent! It was a great weekend capped off with a stop at Hot Belly Mama's :)

Now time to gear myself up for the long workweek ahead :( P.S - Best of luck on your first day at your new job tomorrow Bren :)
