Mmmmm.....Boat!!!

Since getting the cottage last fall, there has been much talk about getting a boat. Not only because we like to water-ski/wakeboard, but also to tour the lake we're on.

This brings us to last weekend, the usual clan up at the cottage when talks began to swirl about a used boat for sale at a marina close by. Price sounded right, boat looked right, could this be the one?!?! On Sunday, my sister, Mike and my Dad trekked to the marina to give it another look and to speak to somebody about it. There was discussion, hmmm'ing and hawww'ing but after the dust settled, we bought a boat!!! As mentioned earlier, it's a used boat (being a '74, probably quite used). But it is in good condition. The interior looks (and could be) brand new and it comes with the original cover....Also in good condition! It has an inboard 145 horsepower engine which looked very decent. The test...Picking it up this coming Saturday morning, and riding it to the cottage from the boat launch. Not a far boat ride, but far enough to determine any immediate issues we may encounter. If nothing, then watersports here we come!!! :) Oh, the make of the boat is a Larson All American. It is primarily orange in colour and has therefore been deemed the name, Orange Crush!
